News: Trout went 0-for-4 with four strikeouts in Saturday's loss to the Tigers. Impact: Trout struck out four times in a single game for the first time in his career Saturday. The first three were by Max Scherzer, making the occurrence somewhat understandable, but it's still surprising when Trout shows this level of ineffectiveness in a ballgame. The 22-year-old came into 2014 with an eye toward cutting down his strikeouts but hasn't done much to aid in that pursuit lately, as he's struck out 10 times in his last five games.(RotoWire, )

News: Trout had two more hits Wednesday. Impact: Trout will face the Tigers this weekend. Maybe he can try to steal more since he has only done so once this season and with his speed, it's hard to understand why he isn't more daring.(STATS, 5:19pm)

News: Trout went 2-for-5 with a double, a walk and an RBI in a win over the A's on Wednesday. Impact: Trout got the Angels on the board with an RBI double in the third inning, but the A's did a decent job of keeping him in check after that, as he was limited to just a single and a walk for the duration of the contest.
