News: Hudson went 0-for-3 against the Rays on Monday. Impact: He was one of two Sox starters to not strike out against Matt Moore in this game. Still, the effort knocked his batting average since joining the Sox to .200 (4-for-20), and he has yet to tally a multi-hit game since joining his new club. It appears Brent Morel (back) is on the mend, so Hudson's job will be in peril shortly.(RotoWire, )

News: Hudson went 1-for-3 with a double in the White Sox's win over the Twins on Thursday. Impact: Hudson has started consecutive games at third for the White Sox, and he has looked adequate at the position thus far. He should continue to man the corner infield spot, and hit in the bottom-third of the lineup, until Brent Morel returns from the DL.(RotoWire, )

News: Hudson is starting at third base and batting ninth for the White Sox on Wednesday, Mark Gonzales of the Chicago Tribune reports. Impact: He singled and scored as a pinch-hitter Tuesday night, and it's reasonable to think that Hudson will see a significant run as the White Sox's third baseman while Brent Morel is on the 15-day DL.(RotoWire, )

News: The White Sox have officially signed Hudson, the team's official site reports. Impact: With Brent Morel having landed on the 15-day DL, retroactive to May 18, Hudson appears to be in line to serve as the team's primary third baseman for the time being.(RotoWire, )

News: Hudson should be in uniform for the White Sox's series opener against the Twins on Tuesday, the Chicago Sun-Times reports. Impact: The official roster move should come sometime Tuesday afternoon, and the club will accompany the move by placing Brent Morel (back) on the 15-day DL. It sounds like Hudson will serve as the Sox's primary third baseman for the duration of Morel's injury, and he will be a backup at second and third once Morel returns. Hudson's value could take a boost as he transitions from one of the most pitcher-friendly parks to one of the more offensively oriented.(RotoWire, )

News: A White Sox source confirmed the club has signed Hudson, but the deal is not yet official, the team's official site reports. Impact: The organization plans on plugging in Hudson at third with Brent Morel looking at a DL stint, and he could play second behind Gordon Beckham after Morel returns. Look for an official inking before Sunday's game or during Monday's off day.(RotoWire, )

News: Hudson appears set to sign with the White Sox, Peter Gammons of MLB.com reports. Impact: Hudson was released by the Padres on Thursday after struggling mightily at the plate. He would add some depth at second base, where Gordon Beckham isn't performing much better than Hudson this season.(RotoWire, )

News: Hudson was designated for assignment by the Padres on Thursday, ESPN's Buster Olney reports. Impact: "O-dog" has been awful at the plate this season, and currently has a .211/.260/.317 batting line. His best days are clearly in the past, but Hudson will probably make it back to the big leagues before the season ends. Andy Parrino should see more playing time with Hudson out of the picture.(RotoWire, )
