News: Grossman has been sent to Triple-A Oklahoma City, the Houston Chronicle reports. Impact: Grossman was off to a slow start by hitting just .125 and the Astros decided it was time to call up top outfield prospect George Springer to play in his place.(RotoWire, )

News: Grossman hit a two-out, three-run home run that capped a five-run fourth inning, and Houston beat the Texas Rangers 6-5 in 10 innings Saturday night. Impact: The longball came two days after he snapped a 25 at-bat hitless skid with a two-run drive in Houston's win at Toronto. His OPS is still a pathetic .591 but he is trending upward.(STATS, 12:31pm)

News: Grossman impressed at the plate Saturday, going 2-for-4 with a home run and three RBI. Impact: The outfielder now has two bombs and five RBI in three games since being demoted to the Astros' eight hole, so maybe he's finally coming around after opening the season in a horrid 2-for-32 slump. He actually raised his batting average 41 points to .122 in this one, so that's a good sign.(RotoWire, )

News: Grossman hit a two-run homer and drew a pair of walks in Thursday's 6-4 win at Toronto. Impact: Grossman has opened the season in a major funk, so he was recently dropped to the eighth spot in the lineup to take some pressure off. Whether Thursday's game will get him going at the plate remains to be seen, but at least he's showing signs of life.(RotoWire, )

News: Grossman was dropped to the No. 8 spot in the Astros' batting order for Wednesday's game against the Blue Jays, and he went 0-for-3 with two strikeouts in a losing effort. Impact: Manager Bo Porter's intention was to take some pressure off Grossman by slotting him lower in the batting order. Unfortunately, Grossman didn't respond well. The 24-year-old outfielder is hitless over his last 24 at-bats.(RotoWire, )

News: Grossman extended his hitless streak to 21 at-bats Tuesday against the Blue Jays. Impact: Astros' manager Bo Porter said before Tuesday's game that Grossman has "missed some pitches that he arguably knows he should've hit and he's taken some pitches that are very hittable." Grossman did get on base twice during the game via walk and stole a base, but his approach at the plate has been questioned.(RotoWire, )

News: Grossman had a rough series against the Angels, going 0-for-16 with a walk and seven strikeouts. Impact: Grossman is hitting .077 through seven games and appears like he could use a day off to clear his head. He may have to wait a bit longer for that, however, as he's been playing center field with Dexter Fowler out of the lineup due to a stomach virus. Grossman played his way into the No. 2 spot in the Astros' batting order after hitting well in camp, but manager Bo Porter may be forced to look at other options if Grossman's struggles continue.(RotoWire, )
