News: Ludwick is not in the lineup Tuesday against the Pirates. Impact: Ludwick got in on the party Monday, smacking one of the 10 homers hit at Great American Ballpark before the game was suspended, but he'll park it Tuesday. News: Ludwick is not in the lineup Wednesday against the Cardinals, MLB.com's Mark Sheldon reports. Impact: Manager Bryan Price will rest Ludwick in favor of Chris Heisey, who will start in left field and bat sixth in the order. News: Ludwick doubled his season's RBI total Tuesday, knocking in a pair of runs against the Cardinals on a first-inning sacrifice fly and a fifth-inning ground out that scored Joey Votto. Impact: Unfortunately for fantasy owners, Ludwick's lofty .364 batting average took a hit despite the RBI, as he went 0-for-3, ending his five-game hitting streak. The 11th-year journeyman recorded exactly 116 hits in both 2011 and 2012 and is a career .263 hitter, so he could be a useful depth outfielder if he stays healthy in 2014. He'll get the occasional rest, however, so if you're going to avail yourself of Ludwick's services, make sure you're on top of the Reds' starting lineup each and every game.(RotoWire, )

News: Ludwick hit a solo home run, his first of the year, in Saturday's 6-3 loss to the Mets. Impact: Ludwick's first extra-base hit of the season was a homer off Dillon Gee that snuck just inside the left-field foul pole. The 35-year-old is locked in as the starter in left, but the Reds sat him down Thursday and will likely continue to give him days off here and there as to not push their luck.(RotoWire, )

News: Ludwick is not in the starting lineup Thursday against the Cardinals, C. Trent Rosecrans of the Cincinnati Enquirer reports. Impact: The Reds got a late start Wednesday night as the game was delayed close to three hours by rain, so it makes sense that they would give the 35-year-old Ludwick Thursday afternoon off. Ludwick scored the game-winning run Wednesday and is 2-for-7 thus far, but the team will be mindful of his workload, especially early in the season.(RotoWire, )
