News: Walker (shoulder) will resume throwing Monday, Shannon Drayer of 710 AM ESPN Seattle reports. Impact: The Mariners received a double dose of good news when James Paxton (back) and Walker were examined by team doctors Wednesday, as both players ended up receiving clearance to throw following setbacks in their respective rehab processes. Walker had previously worked himself up to the point where he was ready for a rehab start before that was tabled due to a right shoulder impingement. He may have to log several more bullpen sessions this time around before heading to the minors for a rehab assignment.(RotoWire, )

News: Walker (shoulder) will be evaluated by the team doctor Wednesday, after which he's hopeful that he'll receive clearance to throw, Shannon Drayer of 710 ESPN Seattle reports. Impact: After Walker was scratched from a rehab outing last Tuesday, Apr. 16, a shoulder impingement was found and two weeks of rest prescribed. However, he may be able to throw a week earlier than expected, if all goes well Wednesday. Until he gets the all-clear, though, his return date will be up in the air, with a decent bet suggesting mid-to-late May for his season debut.(RotoWire, )

News: Walker has been diagnosed with a right shoulder impingement and will be shut down for two weeks, Bob Dutton of the Tacoma News Tribune reports. Impact: Shoulder stiffness prevented Walker from getting loose for his scheduled minor league rehab start Tuesday, and the Mariners were forced to scratch the right-hander. Upon further examination, Walker has been found to have a shoulder impingement, with two weeks of rest prescribed to treat the ailment. Considering he'll have to slowly build strength once cleared to throw, and will likely have to do another rehab assignment, a return in mid-to-late May is looking like a best-case scenario.(RotoWire, )

News: Walker was scratched from his minor league rehab start Tuesday with shoulder stiffness, Shannon Drayer of 710 AM ESPN Seattle reports. Impact: The 21-year-old was moved up to Triple-A Tacoma for Tuesday's start, leading to speculation that he could return to the major league team as soon as Sunday, but the right-hander failed to get loose thanks to the tight shoulder. Walker will be re-evaluated Wednesday, and that exam should shed light on the severity of this setback.(RotoWire, )

News: Walker (shoulder) will make his next rehab start Tuesday at Triple-A Tacoma, Todd Dybas of the Tacoma News Tribune reports. Impact: If everything goes off without a hitch, it seems as though Walker could slot back into the Mariners' rotation as early as Sunday against the Marlins.(RotoWire, )

News: Walker (shoulder) will have his rehab assignment moved from Double-A Jackson to Triple-A Tacoma, Bob Dutton of the Tacoma News Tribune reports. Impact: Walker will take the next step in his progression, but this also means that he won't pitch Tuesday's game, which will likely go to Blake Beavan. Nonetheless, Walker appears to be just one or two rehab starts away from his 2014 debut and is talented enough to warrant consideration in nearly any format.(RotoWire, )

News: Walker (shoulder) is under consideration to start Tuesday against the Rangers, according to Bob Dutton of The Tacoma News Tribune. Impact: A decision should be made between Walker and Blake Beavan in the next 24 hours regarding who to use Tuesday. Walker is a very highly regarded prospect and worth grabbing in all formats when he's activated from the DL.(RotoWire, )

News: Walker (shoulder) was dominant in his rehab start at Double-A Jackson on Wednesday, striking out 10 in five innings and allowing just three hits and one walk on 84 pitches, Jackson's broadcaster Chris Harris reports. Impact: This was Walker's second rehab start and it represented an improvement on his previous outing, when he threw just 72 pitches. It's possible he could be activated from the DL soon, assuming he came out of this start without a setback. Also, James Paxton's recently announced DL stint will open up a spot in the Mariners' rotation, which Walker could allow Walker to slot right in.(RotoWire, )
