| News: Lincecum has been dealing with a blister issue, CSN Bay Area reports. | Impact: Lincecum feels fine physically, aside from the blister issue that crops up on the middle finger on his right hand. It happens because of the way the side of his nail rubs against his finger when he throws his slider. He confirmed to Andrew Baggarly that the blister issue, not elbow or arm fears, is the reason he planned to stay away from throwing the slider this spring a plan he scrapped after one start. Lincecum said he's got to get tougher and pitch through any discomfort the blister causes. It's of no comfort, but at least there's now something of a reason for Lincecum's terrible performance so far this season.(RotoWire, ) |

| News: Lincecum allowed six runs on six hits, walking four and striking out five over 5.2 innings in a 7-6 loss to Miami on Friday. | Impact: Lincecum is beginning to display a disturbing pattern of pitching reasonably well early in games before hitting a wall in the middle innings. He took a 3-1 lead Friday into the sixth inning and left after recording just two outs, trailing 6-3. He now sports a 6.41 ERA to go with a 2-5 record, and what was once an annoying bump in the road is threatening to turn into a full blown disaster. Lincecum has had stretches of ineffectiveness before but never for this long or to this extent.(RotoWire, ) |

| News: Lincecum turned in another dud in Sunday's 6-2 loss to the A's. | Impact: Lincecum, now 2-4, gave up five hits and four runs in four innings to push his ERA to 6.04. He hasn't won since April 28 at San Diego. "Every time he goes out there I think, here we go, we'll have a normal game from Timmy," Giants manager Bruce Bochy said. It hasn't really happened yet and fantasy owners may want to look elsewhere for quality pitching.(STATS, 4:28pm) |

| News: Lincecum (thumb) was wearing a wrap Monday, but said he's OK following a collision at home plate in Sunday's game, CSN Bay Area's Andrew Baggarly reports. | Impact: All signs point to Lincecum being available for his next start, and manager Bruce Bochy shot down the idea of skipping his ace in the rotation as a result of his recent struggles.(RotoWire, ) |

| News: Lincecum injured his left, non-pitching thumb during Sunday's loss to the A's in the fourth inning on a play at the plate, the Associated Press reports. | Impact: He finished the inning but then left the game, though it's possible that part of the decision was due to what's become all-too-typical ineffectiveness for Lincecum this season. Sunday, he gave up five hits and four runs in four innings and raised his season ERA to an unsightly 6.04. Lincecum thinks he may have hyperextended his thumb, but since it's his non-pitching hand, people around the team didn't sound too worried about it, at least initially. His continued woes on the mound, however, are another story.(RotoWire, ) |

| News: Lincecum did not get a decision in a 5-4 loss to Colorado on Tuesday. | Impact: Lincecum lasted seven innings, striking out seven and walking three for the Giants. At the very least, Lincecum's lethargic starts this season finally disappeared.(STATS, 1:43pm) |

| News: Lincecum allowed four runs on seven hits over seven innings in a no-decision Tuesday against the Rockies. | Impact: The Rockies chipped and chipped, and Lincecum just couldn't get out of any of the jams he created. He continues to pile on the strikeouts, adding seven more, but it's hard to say when (if) the rest of his game will fall back to career norms.(RotoWire, ) |

| News: Lincecum suffered his third loss this season, giving up four runs in five innings of a defeat to the Dodgers. | Impact: This time it wasn't the dreaded first inning that did Lincecum in. He gave up all four runs in the fourth. Lincecum fell to 2-3 with a 5.89 ERA as his struggles continue.(STATS, 3:30pm) |
