News: Hanson gave up six runs on eight hits over 3.1 innings in a loss to the Cardinals on Monday. Impact: On a positive note, Hanson fanned six in the short outing, but he needed 93 pitches to pick up 10 outs and was tagged for a pair of homers by Rafael Furcal and Daniel Descalso. The short outing Monday marked the second time this season Hanson failed to make it through the fourth inning, while it nearly tacked a run on his season ERA as well. Hanson will take the ball Sunday against the Nationals for his next scheduled start.(RotoWire, )

Fri. May 18, 2012
News: Hanson allowed two runs on six hits and two walks Friday, striking out three in seven innings against the Rays to improve to 5-3. Impact: Another solid start for him as he appears to be settling in after returning from a 2011 shoulder injury. He is still not the dominating ace he was before the injury, but his early 2012 results have been generally encouraging. He'll get the Reds in Cincinnati next time out.(RotoWire, )
