News: D'Arnaud broke an 0-for-16 slump with a line drive single to left field and then added a bloop double later in the Mets' 4-0 win over the Braves on Tuesday. Impact: D'Arnaud desperately needed something positive to occur at the plate and he got it Tuesday. The bloop double was due to good hustle by d'Arnaud, who did an excellent job calling the game with Bartolo Colon on the hill.(RotoWire, )

News: D'Arnaud went 0-for-3 on Sunday against the Reds, dropping him to 0-for-15 on the season. He did fly out to the warning track in his final at-bat. Impact: D'Arnaud was especially impatient Sunday, swinging at the first pitch in all three at-bats and seeing just six pitches combined in those plate appearances. However, manager Terry Collins didn't criticize his at-bats, given that d'Arnaud made hard contact, but expressed some concern overall. "I'm worried about his mental approach more than anything," Collins said. "Certainly he came into the season not only as an integral part of the defense, but the offense. His spot in that lineup, we've got to get some production out of it. He's got to battle through it. There are no easy answers here."(RotoWire, )

News: D'Arnaud, who was not in the lineup Saturday, is back in Sunday against the Reds, ESPN New York reports. Impact: D'Arnaud was given Saturday off, as it was a day game following a night one, not to mention that he started the season 0-for-12 with six strikeouts. That latter fact is disconcerting, as d'Arnaud spent the spring working on eliminating the extra movement in his swing so he could catch up to good fastballs, but he has failed to do so early this season.(RotoWire, )
