News: Flowers went deep for the first time this season in Tuesday's 15-3 beatdown of the Rockies at Coors Field. He went 2-for-4 with two RBI and his homer was one of six on the night for Chicago. Impact: With one swing of the bat, Flowers erased goose eggs in both the HR and RBI columns, launching a 401-foot bomb into the Denver night. Although he won't sustain his unexpectedly high .478 batting average, owners have been thrilled with his contact numbers so far and must be delighted to see him finally factor into some other hitting categories. Enjoy the ride while it lasts.(RotoWire, )

News: Flowers went 3-for-4 with a run scored against the Royals on Friday. Impact: After going 0-for-3 on Opening Day, Flowers is 8-for-11 with a pair of runs scored in the three games since. Unfortunately, that's all that he's contributing, with no home runs and no RBI. He's unlikely to continue hitting this well, so enjoy it while you can, and as for the counting stats, you're probably not going to be looking at big numbers. He showed some decent power potential in the minors, so there is certainly 15-home run power lurking. However, batting at the bottom of the lineup isn't going to afford him much in the way of RBI opportunities or runs scored.(RotoWire, )

News: Flowers had a career-high four hits in the White Sox's loss to the Twins on Thursday. Impact: He recorded a hit in all four of his at-bats before being pulled late for pinch-hitter Paul Konerko. Flowers has started all three of the White Sox's games thus far, and backup Adiren Nieto should not be as much of a playing time threat as Josh Phegley might have been.(RotoWire, )
