News: Darvish will have his next start pushed back to Monday, Evan Grant of the Dallas Morning News reports. Impact: As expected, the Rangers confirmed that Matt Harrison (back) would come off the disabled list to start over the weekend in Seattle, bumping Darvish from his Sunday nod. The move will set Darvish up for a two-start week, as he's projected to get the ball Monday against the Athletics and next Sunday against the Angels.(RotoWire, )

News: Darvish will likely have his start pushed back to Monday against Oakland, the Fort Worth Star-Telegram's Jeff Wilson reports. Impact: The Rangers are expected to activate Matt Harrison from the DL, and slot him into the rotation for Friday's game, which would allow Darvish an extra day to recover from what was an atypical start Monday when he allowed three runs in six innings against Oakland.(RotoWire, )

News: Darvish did not get a decision Monday. He allowed three runs on eight hits in six innings, struck out six and walked four on 116 pitches. Impact: Darvish faces the M's in his next outing and owns a career 7.71 ERA at Safeco Field so it may be a good idea to briefly take him out of your fantasy rotation.(STATS, 11:26am)

News: Darvish had a rather ordinary outing Monday, striking out six batters over six innings of three-run ball in a 4-3 win over the A's. Impact: Darvish gave up eight hits and four walks in a no decision against the red-hot A's. Despite owning a 1.61 ERA on a team with plenty of offensive talent, the Japanese right-hander has just one win to show for his first four outings. An excellent chance for No. 2 is around the corner, with Darvish scheduled to take on struggling Mariners starter Erasmo Ramirez in Seattle on Sunday. Between the pitcher-friendly park, Seattle's offensive issues, and Ramirez being glorified batting practice, Darvish owners should love the matchup. He did struggle against the M's last season, particularly at Safeco Field, but the 16.1-inning sample size is of little importance compared to those other factors.(RotoWire, )

News: Darvish did not get a decision Wednesday. Impact: Facing ace Felix Hernandez, Darvish struck out eight and walked two in seven innings, but remains winless in his last eight home starts despite a 2.33 ERA in those games. His ERA is 0.82.(STATS, 5:45pm)

News: Darvish allowed seven hits, two earned runs and two walks with eight strikeouts over seven innings Wednesday against the Mariners. He came away with a no-decision despite the solid effort. Impact: Darvish certainly pitched well enough to win, but the Rangers hitters couldn't seem to get anything going against opposing pitcher Felix Hernandez, who threw seven innings of scoreless ball. His Rangers teammates bailed him out late in the game however, as their ninth inning rally took him off the hook for the loss. One positive takeaway is that Darvish's strikeout total climbed to 23 on the season Wednesday night, although just 66 of his 107 total pitches were strikes. He'll take the hill against Oakland his next time out.(RotoWire, )

News: Darvish (thumb) has been confirmed as the starting pitcher for Wednesday's game against the Mariners. Impact: Darvish was removed from his last start Friday with a cut on his right thumb, but the setback will not prevent him from making his scheduled start Wednesday night. In a five-star pitching matchup, Darvish will square off against Mariners ace Felix Hernandez.(RotoWire, )

News: Darvish has downplayed the severity of the cut on his thumb and doesn't think it will present any issues for Wednesday's start against the Mariners, FOXSports.com reports. Impact: Even with the cut, Darvish was able to strike out nine Astros batters over eight shutout innings Friday night. He sustained the cut on his thumb when he poked it with his index finger while throwing a curveball, something he's done before with little to no ill effects on the quality of his pitching.(RotoWire, )

News: Darvish struck out nine while yielding one hit in eight shutout innings in Friday's win over Houston. Impact: Darvish has thrown 15 shutout innings in two starts, though he's only been staked with two runs of support.(STATS, 5:11pm)

News: Darvish was removed after the eighth inning of Friday's start versus the Astros with a cut on his right thumb, reports Evan Grant of The Dallas Morning News. Impact: Darvish was 101 pitches into the outing, but with a one-hit shutout working, it seems he should have had enough for at least one more frame. The cut on his thumb may or may not have been the reason for the exit, but it is easy to understand the Rangers not wanting to take any chances. Darvish ended the night with another outstanding line, as he struck out nine while walking just one. Consider him day-to-day right now with seemingly little chance of missing his next start.(RotoWire, )

News: Darvish allowed seven hits over seven innings in his season debut as the Texas Rangers avoided a three-game sweep by beating the Tampa Bay Rays 3-0 on Sunday. Impact: Darvish struck out six and walked one. Sidelined by neck stiffness, it was his first outing since a spring training game on March 16. "I didn't feel anything unusual," Darvish said through an interpreter. Darvish got his 500th career strikeout, coming in 401 2-3 innings, by fanning David DeJesus and Wil Myers in the first. According to the Rangers, it is the fewest innings for a starter to reach 500 strikeouts in major league history.(STATS, 3:34pm)
