NOTES

The movement of Roy Halladay's pitches on Friday continued to have repercussions the next day.

The M's reported that three players fouled balls off their shins and were banged up. Third baseman Adrian Beltre was forced to sit out yesterday's game, while Ichiro Suzuki left the Friday game in the eighth and managed to return to the lineup yesterday. Franklin Gutierrez was also feeling some pain.

It was a snapshot of the Jays' present shaking hands with the future prior to yesterday's game when No. 1 draft pick, righthander Chad Jenkins, went over to meet Roy Halladay in the clubhouse.

Jenkins had just thrown a bullpen session to another prospect, catcher Sean Ochinko. The 21-year-old Kennesaw State University product has not pitched at any level in the Jays' minor-league system.
