--LF Garret Anderson snapped out of an 0-for-13 slump with a single in the fifth inning Wednesday. The 37-year-old Anderson, who batted .306 (26-for-85) in June, is hitting just .150 (3-for-20) on the road trip.

--CF Nate McLouth collected two hits Wednesday to extend his hitting streak to nine games. McLouth is batting .350 (14-for-40) with two homers over that stretch.

--LHP Jo-Jo Reyes continued to work his way back from a left hamstring injury, pitching two shutout innings Tuesday for Class AAA Gwinnett. Reyes, who has been sidelined since May 21, struck out two without a walk and threw 18 of his 29 pitches for strikes.

--RHP Tim Hudson pitched batting practice Tuesday for the second consecutive day. The veteran, who had elbow-ligament replacement surgery during the 2008 campaign, remains on target for his July 19 rehab start with Class A Myrtle Beach.

BY THE NUMBERS: 4-11 -- Atlanta's record at Nationals Park since the ballpark opened at the beginning of the 2008 season.

QUOTE TO NOTE: "Fans will love this kid. He's all-out all the time. He's one of those gritty old-timers. He's not old, don't get me wrong, but he plays like the old-timers." -- Braves manager Bobby Cox to team's official website on IF Brooks Conrad, who smashed a three-run pinch hit homer in his first plate appearance for Atlanta.
