avcerc,<br />I agree--I hope Bruney is ok physically--he put alot getting ready conditioning wise this year and he will be stronger upon his return I think. As far as Robertson--he will be what Olendorf was going to be--if he locates well--he will be LIGHTS OUT !!!

amnigo,<br />I have look at what he's done and I'm not saying he was awful--pls read again--I said he has done less with the wealth of talent he has. He seems to "give up" at times and tries too hard at others. Just never any consistency at all. He had one good season as a closer and he was signed , as all FA's, on the work from the prior year. Hope this clarifies where I stand--he is a good pitcher but can be great pitcher if he gets his head on right--wish him the best with the Tigers.

sppok6- actually look at what Farnsworth did this season, and say that again. Him being horrible (this year) is a giant misconception.

As an Atros fan for 20+ years, I am afraid that this team may be in the cellar for years to come. We have the worst front office in baseball bar none. Our owner makes trades for players based on the fact they have Texas ties(Jason Jennings), gives up way too many prospects for declining players(Tejada). Because we made the World Series three years ago, Drayton refuses to believe that we need to rebuild. Or, he just loves to fleece the fans. When he blackmailed the city into building Minute Maid, he promised to keep a contending team on the field year in and year out. The proof says otherwise. The moves for Wolf and Hawkins are ponderous at best. My beloved Stros' are going to be hard to watch for years to come. PLEASE SELL THE TEAM DRAYTON!!

Hawkins was a bust from day one. I hope he helps out the Astros because he sure as sugar didnt do the job for the Yanks.

As an Astro fan, my question is "what the heck are they thinking?" They give up a prospect for a mediocre relief pitcher who they could have obtained for nothing. He was designated for assignment, so could have been picked up after the Yanks released him. McLane and his "management team" are the worst incompetents in baseball. <br /><br />What a pickup - a mediocre (5.71 ERA) old relief pitcher. Will really start our pennant push from fifth place.

Talk about Farnsworth being the player that got the least out of the most talent--Hawkins was a close 2nd--good bye--have fun in Houston.
