Men's tennis great Connors arrested

A police dispatcher said Connors was arrested at the beginning of the game.
A Santa Barbara County jail employee said Connors was booked and released but did not have details. Connors could not immediately be reached for comment early Saturday.
Connors lives in the Santa Barbara area and attends a handful of the Gauchos' games each season.

Dodgers PITCHER BILLINGSLEY HAS SURGERY AFTER FALL
Los Angeles Dodgers pitcher Chad Billingsley had surgery on Saturday after fracturing his leg in a fall at his Pennsylvania home.
Team spokesman Josh Rawitch said that the 24-year-old Billingsley slipped on ice outside his house in Reading, Pa., and suffered a spiral fracture of the fibula in his left leg on Friday.
He had surgery to put a plate in and will be in a cast for two weeks. Billingsley, a former Jacksonville Suns standout, should be ready to throw by spring training.

Florida State's women's soccer team (17-2-3) beat visiting Boston College 1-0 to advance to the quarterfinals of the NCAA Tournament for the fourth season in a row. ... North Florida's volleyball team (13-19) beat Winston-Salem State 3-0 (25-20, 25-14, 25-20) before losing to Central Arkansas 3-2 (23-25, 20-25, 25-13, 25-14, 15-9) and USC Upstate 3-1 (27-25, 25-22, 21-25, 25-19) at the Division I Provisional Invitational in Spartanburg, S.C. UNF's Bary Rasmussen was named to the all-tournament team.
