(Sports Network) - The Tampa Bay Devil Rays try get back on the winning track this evening when they start a three-game set with the Texas Rangers at Ameriquest Field. Tampa will pin its hopes on righthander Rob Bell, who is 5-5 on the season to go along with a 4.41 ERA. Bell was outstanding in his last start on Sunday against the Seattle Mariners, as he allowed an unearned run on six hits in seven innings of work to post the win. Bell, who pitched two seasons for the Rangers, will be making his first start against his former team tonight. Tampa was also defeated on Thursday, as it was shutout, 6-0, by Pedro Martinez and the Boston Red Sox. Aubrey Huff doubled and singled for the Devil Rays, who lost the final three games of the series -- and 11 of their last 12 on the road -- and were shut out for the 10th time this season. Huff, though, passed Fred McGriff for most hits in franchise history (604). He has six consecutive multi-hit games, tying his career-best and leaving him one shy of Carl Crawford's club record. Tampa's Rocco Baldelli is one hit away from 300 for his career. Texas has won four of its six meetings with the Devil Rays this season, including two of three in the Lone Star State. The Rangers have also won five of their last six at home against the Devil Rays. Tampa Bay has taken a season series from every AL team except for Texas. The Devil Rays have posted 20-35 mark away from home.
