Dodgers add Victorino to outfield

The Dodgers have acquired outfielder Shane Victorino from the Phillies for pitching propect Ethan Martin and relief pitcher Josh Lindblom.
TRADE DEADLINE'S BIG DEALS
Philadelphia also gets a player to be named later or cash for the 31-year-old Victorino, who can become a free agent after the season.
Victorino is batting .261 with nine home runs, 40 RBI and 24 steals. He helped the Phillies win five straight NL East titles and the 2008 World Series championship.
Lindblom is 2-2 with a 3.02 ERA in 48 relief appearances for Los Angeles.
The Dodgers remain focused on acquiring Cubs starting pitcher Ryan Dempster and want him even if they add another pitcher, sources say. The team is also looking at hitters, one rival official said.
Ethan Martin's name had come up in the Dodgers talks with the Cubs on Dempster, a source says.
A source said the Dodgers "were really hunkered down last night," saying "Damn the money. Make the club better."
Sources the Dodgers have worked on two "massive" deals over last several days, both of which are now less likely. It's not clear what those deals were.
The Dodgers acquired infielder Hanley Ramirez on July 25 from the Marlins and relief pitcher Brandon League on Monday from the Mariners.
The Dodgers' main division rival, the Giants, acquired Phillies outfielder Hunter Pence.
