It's frustrating," outfielder Torii Hunter said. "With this team, I could have sworn to you we were going (to the World Series). I was so happy and confident. News: Hunter drove in two runs in the eighth inning to pull the the Angels into a tie, but his team couldn't hold on and fell 3-2 at Boston on Monday. The Red Sox advanced to an AL championshipe series matchup against Tampa Bay.
Impact: Hunter batted .278 with 21 homers and 78 RBIs during the regular season - his first with Los Angeles after spending the last 11 years with Minnesota. He went 7-for-18 (.389) with five RBIs in the postseason.  (STATS - Tue. Oct 7, 2008)
