Right-hander A.J. Burnett and the Blue Jays apparently are stuck with each other. Even though the non-waiver trade deadline is 13 days away, there has been little to zero interest in the Jays right-hander. "I don't see A.J. going anywhere," general manager J.P. Ricciardi said before Friday night's 2-1 heartbreak loss to the Rays with Burnett on the hill. "There's never been a lot of talks from other teams." He was asked if that's surprising. "No, not really," Ricciardi replied.

Dustin McGowan - #29 Pitcher - 6'3" - 230lbs
News: McGowan (shoulder) will be further evaluated in two weeks after visiting with a specialist on Thursday, the team's official site reports.
Impact: They want the inflammation in his shoulder to subside before going any further with a rehab plan. At this point it would seem unlikely to see him back before the middle of August so you have to wonder if the Jays will decide to just shut him down for the remainder of the season. If you're a McGowan owner, start planning for the worst and treat any innings you get from him the rest of the way as a bonus.  (RotoWire - Fri. Jul 18, 2008)
