Cubs Team Report
Earlier this season, the Cubs were able to hit their way through some poor starting pitching performances. Not lately. The Cubs have lost their last four games when they've not gotten a "quality start" (at least six innings and no more than three earned runs allowed by their starting pitcher). Chicago pitchers were rocked for 10 and nine runs in two of those games, but in the other two, the Cubs lost by identical 5-3 scores.

Ted Lilly - #30 Pitcher - 6'1" - 190lbs
News: Lilly struck out 10 batters and earned his third win of the season Friday with a 3-1 victory over Arizona. He also had an RBI single in the game.
Impact: Lilly was hitting the corners with his fastball and buckling batters with his breaking ball, a sure sign he has turned the corner to his rough start this season. It was especially promising to see Lilly hold his composure in a tight pitchers duel with Danny Haren through seven innings after giving up a solo home run in the first to Chris Young.
