Dodgers Team Report
Russell Martin got an extremely rare day off from catching Wednesday. But that didn't mean he was out of the lineup. Martin started at third base for the eighth time this season and now has started 117 of the Dodgers' first 126 games at either catcher, third or designated hitter. The day at third could have something to do with the fact that Martin, although he has gone 11-for-31 over the first eight games of the Dodgers' current homestand, was hitting .254 for August.
