Pirates Team Report
Ian Snell's attitude has been reversed in a little more than two weeks. The Pirates right-hander was frustrated and scared when he felt a twinge in his elbow during his last start, a loss to Toronto on June 22. However, after 15 days on the disabled list, Snell returns to action Tuesday night after overcoming inflammation in the elbow and will start against Houston. Snell is now upbeat and ready to go. "I feel great," Snell said Monday.

Fantasy Report
Ian Snell - #45 Pitcher - 5'11" - 198lbs
News: Snell, who will start against Houston Tuesday, says that he is no longer feeling any pain in his right elbow joint, adding that his velocity (which had been suffering) is back, the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reports. "I feel great," Snell said. "A hundred percent. Better than I have all year. And I'm going to throw the ball like I know I can. The velocity's there. The break is there. I can't wait to get out there."
Impact: Though we won't totally take his words at face value, Snell represents a decent buy-low candidate, as he certainly has the stuff to turn things around. Pirates manager John Russell said that Snell will be "watched closely" once he reaches 70-80 pitches, but that there will be no firm pitch limit on Tuesday.  (RotoWire - Tue. Jul 8, 2008)
