News: Padres GM Kevin Towers said that he doesn't see the organization going out to get a second baseman during the off-season, the San Diego Union-Tribune reports.
Impact: With the Padres presumably entering a rebuilding phase, Antonelli figures to get a long look this spring. If he performs, it wouldn't be hard to envision him getting the nod at second over Edgar Gonzalez, Travis Denker, and Luis Rodriguez.  (RotoWire - Oct 12, 2008)
