News: Tigers general manager Dave Dombrowski called Schlereth "the leading candidate" to be the team's No.2 lefty out of the bullpen, Mlive.com reports.
Impact: Schlereth will be paired with Phil Coke to give the Tigers two left-handed options out of the bullpen. Coke is expected to work the seventh inning with Octavio Dotel, so Schlereth will be deployed primarily as a LOOGY.
