Formula One sensation Lewis Hamilton says tennis player Rafael Nadal's Wimbledom triumph has inspired him to do better on the track.

Nadal won his first Wimbledon title against Roger Federer earlier this month, while Hamilton is seeking his first world championship. "Nadal had even more hunger, and I think it's impossible to match that once you have done something a lot of times," said Hamilton.

"For me I can probably identify with his hunger to win that first title."

Hamilton won the British Grand Prix on the same day as the historic Wimbledon final and listened to the latter stages of the match on the radio and has spoken of his hunger to win this year, especially after losing the world championship by a single point last season. "That hunger within me is definitely greater this year after what happened to me last year," said the 23-year-old.

Going into this week's German Grand Prix, Hamilton is currently in a three-way tie for the lead with Raikkonen and Felipe Massa.
