Toyota team manager Richard Cregan will be leaving the team at the end of November to start in a new position within Formula One.

He spent 24 years with Toyota starting out as a mechanic and he got the job of Formula One team manager in 2004.

The 48-year-old's replacement will be Jens Marquardt who has been Toyota's manager of engine customer supply for two years.

"We are very sad to be losing a team member of Richard's qualities but we understand his reasons and we wish him the very best of luck in his new challenge.

"Richard played an important part in Toyota Motorsport's history. We salute his numerous achievements," said Toyota team principal Tadashi Yamashina.

Cregan's new position in the sport has not been revealed.
