| News: Labonte finished 12th in the Sprint Showdown at Charlotte Motor Speedway on Saturday night. However, he won the internet fan vote and will transfer into the field for the All-Star Challenge.

Impact: Labonte had a sub-par finish in the night's 40-lap opening heat race, but he was the benefactor of the NASCAR fan vote. The JTG/Daugherty Racing veteran was the second highest vote-getter to Dale Earnhardt Jr., but Earnhardt raced his way into the All-Star Challenge. That left Labonte with a stamped ticket into Saturday night's big show. | |
