News: Vickers finished 26th in Saturday's Bojangles' Southern 500 at Darlington Raceway. Impact: Vickers led for 30 laps and seemed to have a good finish lined up, but spun out while trying to pit late in the race. The spin caused him to only pick up 19 points, and he dropped four spots in the standings to 13th as a result. He will look to recover at Richmond, where he has three Top-10 finishes.(RotoWire, )

News: Florida State University's trophy case holds lots of hardware, but none for motorsports. Aaron's and Vickers plan to change that. Vickers' No. 55 Aaron's Toyota will carry a special paint scheme honoring FSU's 2013 BCS National Championship football team when the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series races at Daytona International Speedway on July 5, reports. Impact: The driver of the No. 55 Toyota has started the season in pretty good fashion. He'll pay tribute to FSU's national championship in football with a special paint scheme this summer at Daytona. Vickers is a lofty ninth in the championship standings right now, and he should be a strong performer by the time the series rolls into Daytona International Speedway later this summer.(RotoWire, )

News: Vickers finished fourth in the Duck Commander 500 at Texas Motor Speedway Monday afternoon. Impact: The Michael Waltrip Racing veteran was a track position thief late in this 500-mile race and he was the biggest winner of the afternoon, outside of race winner Joey Logano. The driver of the No. 55 Toyota raced in and around the Top 15 most of the day, but it was his two-tire pit stop on the last caution that netted seven positions for the final restart. Vickers capitalized by crossing the stripe fourth for his first Top-5 finish of the season and first career Top 5 at the Fort Worth oval. He jumps four spots to ninth-place in the driver point standings.(RotoWire, )
