| News: Roush Fenway Racing's Matt Kenseth and Edwards finished sixth and seventh to lead RFR's effort in Saturday night's Southern 500 Sprint Cup race at Darlington Raceway, roushfenway.com reports.

Impact: It was a very workmanlike effort for the No. 99 Ford team and Edwards. The Roush Fenway Racing star kept within the Top 10 most of the night at the Darlington oval, but he never could make the headway needed to push up to challenge with the leaders. After 500 miles of racing at the Lady in Black, Edwards soldiered home to a nice seventh-place finish. It was his seventh Top 10 of the season, and it moves Edwards into 10th-place in the championship standings at 74 points behind the leader Greg Biffle. | |
