| News: No. 15 Aaron's/Alabama National Championship Toyota driver Bowyer started 24th and finished sixth in Sunday's NASCAR Sprint Cup race at Talladega Superspeedway, michaelwaltripracing.com reports.

Impact: Bowyer laid low in the back of the field for the early parts of the race, and the strategy paid off. He pushed up to as high as second-place by mid-race and stayed among the Top 10 for the remainder of the event. After several late crashes and over 500 miles of racing Bowyer brought home the No. 15 Toyota in the Top 10 for the fifth time this season. The Michael Waltrip Racing star moves up to 10th-place in the championship standings after Talladega. | |
