| News: Hamlin started his No. 11 FedEx Express Toyota in seventh position in the All-Star Challenge and battled with the handle on his car back in traffic. He would come down pit road prior to the final 10-lap segment in ninth and his FedEx Crew would give him two more spots allowing him to restart in seventh. Hamlin would manage to pick up an additional spot on the final laps to finish sixth, dennyhamlin.com reports. | Impact: Although the No. 11 team did improve over the race, it wasn't the outing or finish that Hamlin was looking for in the All-Star race. The Joe Gibbs Racing star struggled with the handling on his Toyota and never had the speed of other drivers finishing in the Top 5.
