| News: Biffle won the pole for the Bojangles' Southern 500 at Darlington Raceway on Friday. He turned a fast lap of 180.257 mph.

Impact: The championship standings leader went out next-to-last and knocked Jimmie Johnson off the top of the pylon to grab the pole for the Bojangles' Southern 500. It was Biffle's second pole position of the season and 11th of his Sprint Cup Series career. The driver of the No. 16 Ford will challenge for the win on Saturday night at the Track too Tough to Tame. | |
