| News: Gordon finished third in the Bojangles' Southern 500 at Darlington Raceway Saturday night. | Impact: The Hendrick Motorsports star raced in the Top 10 all night at Darlington, but it was the late stages of the race where he became very relevant. Gordon led 16 laps and gave Kyle Busch a hard run at the front in the closing laps. He finally slipped from the lead and cross the stripe third after 500-miles of action.
