News: Gordon talked to Larry King last month about a range of topics, but among the most noteworthy was how much longer he'll race in NASCAR, NASCAR.com reports. Impact: Gordon's career has had some ups-and-downs recently, but his recent performance and comments from this interview seem to indicate he's up for 10 more years of action at NASCAR's top level. In addition, the Hendrick Motorsports star discussed his six-year-old daughter's interest in getting into racing, specifically, her recent laps in a quarter-midget. It seems the racing world should prepare for a possible future generation Gordon following in her father's footsteps.(RotoWire, )

News: Gordon finished seventh in the Bojangles' Southern 500 at Darlington Raceway Saturday night. Impact: In the early going it looked like Gordon had the car to contend for the victory, but as the race wore on it became clear that track position was going to be his biggest adversary. Once Gordon fell back a bit in the field, the unclean air took it's toll on his strong Chevrolet. The Hendrick Motorsports star held strong though and picked up his series-leading sixth Top-10 finish of the season. Gordon retains the standings lead by 1 point over Matt Kenseth.(RotoWire, )
