| News: The NASCAR Sprint Cup Series returned to the historic Darlington Raceway over Mother's Day weekend for 368-laps under the lights. Montoya's Target team qualified in the 27th position and battled with handling on the finicky racetrack throughout the evening to finish out the race in 24th, earnhardtganassi.com reports.

Impact: The lean times at Earnhardt Ganassi Racing continue. Montoya and his teammate Jamie McMurray struggle to be competitive each week, and the Darlington race was no exception for the No. 42 team. The NASCAR All-Star Challenge is scheduled for this weekend, and should provide a good break and distraction for the struggling Montoya. | |
