News: Busch said team owner Gene Haas is serious about making a strong entry into Formula One, a move that could expand the series' footprint in the U.S., the Associated Press reports. Impact: Busch himself is pursuing an open-wheel start in America's IndyCar Series at Indianapolis this May, so the team's interest in stretching outside NASCAR is apparent. Haas is very intent on getting a foothold in Formula One and growing a team in that racing series. Although Busch has open-wheel aspirations, we shouldn't expect to see him piloting a Haas car in F1 any time soon.(RotoWire, )

News: After a difficult to avoid crash, Busch finished 31st in Saturday's Bojangles' Southern 500 at Darlington Raceway. Impact: It was another disappointing finish for the Stewart Haas Racing member, who crashed hard after Clint Bowyer got into the back of his car. Busch dropped one spot in the Sprint Cup standings as a result, and is now 26th with 164 points overall.(RotoWire, )

News: Busch finished 39th in Monday's Duck Commander 500 at Texas Motor Speedway. Impact: Busch had a really tough day, drawing a penalty for speeding on pit road, and hitting the wall with two laps to go. Busch dropped five spots in the Sprint Cup standings as a result, and is now 25th with 151 points overall. He will look to bounce back this week at Darlington, where he won the pole position last season.(RotoWire, )

News: Busch was fastest in Saturday's Happy Hour for the Duck Commander 500. He turned a fast lap of 194.630 mph. Impact: Posting the fastest lap is a great sign for Busch, who was driving a backup car after crashing on Friday. Busch narrowly beat second place Carl Edwards by .002 seconds, and will look to be the first repeat winner of the season on Sunday.(RotoWire, )

News: Busch wrecked in Friday practice for the Duck Commander 500 at Texas Motor Speedway. Impact: This is not the way Busch wanted to start his Texas weekend after the big win at Martinsville last week. The No. 41 Chevrolet cut down a left rear tire late in the practice and Busch slammed into the wall pretty hard. The damage was bad enough that the SHR team had to roll the backup car off the hauler and get it prepared. Busch will have some obstacles to overcome if he hopes to win for a second-straight week.(RotoWire, )
