| News: Ambrose overcame the infamous Darlington Stripe to finish ninth in Saturday night's Bojangles' Southern 500 at Darlington Raceway, richardpettymotorsports.com reports.

Impact: After more than one encounter with the outside wall at Darlington, it was shaping up to be a tough night at the South Carolina oval for Ambrose. However, he rallied late in the race to push into the Top 10 for the first time this season. Ambrose came from as far as two laps down to crack the Top 10 at Darlington, so it was quite an impressive feat. It was just the performance that the struggling No. 9 RPM team needed heading into All-Star week. | |
