| News: With the 2012 Off-Road racing season kicking off with a successful Dakar Rally for Gordon and the SPEED Energy/Toyo Tires Team, Gordon didn't let up as he headed to Parker, Arizona for the Best in the Desert Parker 425. Gordon beat the field by nearly five minutes to win this off-road challenge, planetrobby.com reports.

Impact: It's easy to see why Gordon's focus has shifted more towards off-road racing, and less towards NASCAR. Gordon has performed very well over the last year in his off-road exploits. The Best in the Desert Parker 425 is just another piece of hardware in the trophy case. Gordon is likely to win several more of these events as the year wears on. | |
