| News: Speed and Leavine Family Racing will keep their pirate colors for Sunday's Kobalt Tools 400 at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway. The team set sail last week with a black No. 95 Ford at Phoenix, complete with a skull and crossbones designed by Sam Bass on the hood and the words "Surrender the Sponsor" across the trunk, Leavine Family Racing PR reports.

Impact: The black skull and crossbones was a big hit with potential sponsors, so the No. 95 team will keep that theme at Las Vegas this weekend. Unfortunately, Speed only made 88 laps and parked due to brakes at Phoenix. He finished 41st in the Subway Fresh Fit 500. The team needs sponsorship dollars to fund their operations and allow Speed to race competitively each week. | |
