News: Stewart finished ninth in the Bojangles' Southern 500 at Darlington Raceway Saturday night. Impact: The owner/driver of the No. 14 Chevrolet waged a battle of survival and attrition at Darlington Raceway. Stewart wasn't particularly fast for most of the 374 laps, but he used good pit strategy and good moves on the race track in the final 50 laps to gain several positions. Once the checkered flag waved Smoke cruised home with his fourth Top-10 finish in the last five races. He climbed two spots to 12th-place in the overall driver standings.(RotoWire, )

News: Stewart finished 10th in the Duck Commander 500 at Texas Motor Speedway Monday afternoon. Impact: It was another step in the ladder of recovery for Stewart. The owner/driver of the No. 14 Chevrolet led 74 laps from the pole position and continued to look more and more like his old self. As the race wore on Stewart battled a handling condition and changing track position to fall back in the field. Still, it was another impressive performance for a driver fresh off a sixth-month layoff. News: Stewart won the pole for the Duck Commander 500 at Texas Motor Speedway Saturday afternoon. He turned a fast lap of 195.454 mph. Impact: Stewart won a thrilling session of knockout qualifying Saturday at the Fort Worth oval. He edged Brad Keselowski in the third round to claim the top starting spot for Sunday's Duck Commander 500.
