Impact: The veteran Hendrick Motorsports driver came up short in his quest for a first Sprint Cup championship. His No. 5 Chevy team just didn't have the car to run up front on Sunday at Homestead. Still, it was an incredible season for Martin. He won five races in 2009 and finished a very respectable second-place in the overall standings. Martin will be back in the No. 5 car next season for another championship run with owner Rick Hendrick.
