Keep calm boys: NASCAR has warned competitors to not drive so aggressively during the second practice session. MORE: Waltrip parked during practice

Practice 1 recap: The first of two practice this weekend is complete and Kasey Kahne is the man on top. Running a fast lap 195.944 mph, Kahne just edged Denny Hamlin for quickest driver honors. Paul Menard, Erik Darnell and Joey Logano rounded out the top five. All 44 drivers who will attempt to qualify on Saturday made laps in the session.

That was quick: Just minutes into the first practice of the weekend, we have an accident on the track. Sam Hornish Jr. and Clint Bowyer are involved. Hornish will switch to a backup car.
