Lap 496: Kurt Busch, Casey Mears pit for fresh tires.

CAUTION 14 - Lap 494: Scott Speed his the wall hard. Came into the corner fast and spun out on his own.

Lap 490: Montoya takes third from Gordon.

GREEN FLAG - Lap 487: Denny Hamlin leads the way. Jimmie Johnson, Jeff Gordon, Juan Pablo Montoya and Ryan Newman round out the top five.

Lap 486: Cars who pitted - 5, 29, 18, 20, 00, 83, 99, 82, 31, 17.

Lap 484: Top eight cars are all Chase for the Sprint Cup drivers, but now a few of them are peeling off for pit stops.

CAUTION 13 - Lap 483: Debris off AJ Allmendinger's machine.

Lap 480: Barring a green-white-checker finish, Denny Hamlin just clinched laps most led today - that's five bonus points.

Lap 318: Martin Truex Jr. got spun out a few laps ago by David Stremme but was able to stay out of trouble and the race remained green. However, NASCAR has warned Stremme to not use his bumper again or he won't like the repercussion.

Lap 314: Jimmie Johnson up to second now - 1.455 seconds behind David Reutimann, who got a great restart earlier.

Lap 274: After restarting as the leader, Biffle is down to 18th in only a few laps.

Lap 266: Montoya now passes Hamlin and takes over third.

Lap 264: Hamlin not up to third.

Lap 261: Mark Martin passes Biffle for second.

Lap 260: Jimmie Johnson powers past Biffle immediately after the restart and reclaims the lead.

Lap 256: Greg Biffle stayed out and is your leader.

Lap 253: Jimmie Johnson comes out of the pits first. Denny Hamlin is second.

CAUTION 9 - Lap 251: Joey Logano punts AJ Allmendinger into the Turn 2 wall to bring out the caution. Dale Earnhardt Jr. gets the lucky dog free pass again and is now back on the lead lap.

Lap 202: Kyle Busch takes the lead from teammate Denny Hamlin. Nice run by Busch, who started 41st today.

GREEN FLAG - Lap 201: Denny Hamlin restarts as the leader. Kyle Busch, Kevin Harvick, Bobby Labonte and Carl Edwards are your top five. Championship leader Jimmie Johnson is sixth.

Lap 198: A few cars pit this time by, but not many.

CAUTION 7 - Lap 195: Sam Hornish Jr. spins on the frontstretch.

Lap 193: Jimmie Johnson up to ninth after restarting 18th. Montoya, who is struggling with forward bite, is up to 14th after restarting 19th.

Lap 183: Denny Hamlin takes the lead from Burton.

GREEN FLAG - Lap 182: A big shakeup in the order as several cars did not pit this time by. Jeff Burton leads at the restart. Denny Hamlin, Kyle Busch, Kurt Busch and Bobby Labonte round out the top five. Jimmie Johnson is 18th.

Radio chatter on Lap 178: Tab Boyd (Spotter): "How the hell does he get out so fast?" | Juan Pablo Montoya: "There was no way that he wasn't speeding there"

Lap 177: Leaders pit this time by. Jimmie Johnson beats Juan Pablo Montoya out of the pits. Several cars who pitted last time stayed out, so Johnson will not be the leader at the restart.

CAUTION 6 - Lap 176: Teammates Sam Hornish Jr. and David Stremme wreck on the backstretch.

Lap 159: Top 11 drivers stay out, but those behind them pit.

Lap 132: Leaders pit --- Jimmie Johnson storms out first again. Juan Pablo Montoya comes out second! The restart will be good!

Lee Spencer says on Lap 130: Kurt Busch comes from 37th to 13th.

Lap 130: Before the leaders pit - it's worth noting that the top eight cars are all Chase for the Sprint Cup drivers.

CAUTION 4 - Lap 129: Dale Earnhardt Jr. hits the wall to bring out the caution. Right front tire failure led to the crash.

Lap 126: Martin Truex Jr. pits for what appears to be a loose wheel. Tough break for Truex, who was having a good day so far.

Lap 103: After a good battle, Montoya takes fourth from Gordon. Watch out for those two the rest of the day though - both drivers annoyed after that battle on the radio.

Lap 99: Montoya and Gordon are battling side-by-side for fourth. This is going to get good.

Lap 94: Kahne restarted 35th as result of the penalty. Dale Jr. is 36th.

GREEN FLAG - Lap 94: Jimmie Johnson leads, Mark Martin starts alongside.

Lap 92: Kasey Kahne too quick exiting pit road. He'll restart at the tail end of the longest line.

Lee Spencer says on Lap 91: Problems for 88 in the pits ... said they'll come back in to do the left side

Lap 91: Leaders pit. Everybody takes four tires - Jimmie Johnson comes out as the leader.

CAUTION 3 - Lap 89: Right front flat tire for Dale Earnhardt Jr. in Turn 2.

Lap 85: Jeff Gordon gets passed by Martin Truex Jr. for sixth. The two-tire experiment obviously did not work, but at least Team 24 figured it out early.

Lap 82: Despite his minor damage from a pit road incident, Denny Hamlin is up to fourth.

Lee Spencer says on Lap 76: Roush Fenway Racing spokesman Kevin Wood reports that Matt Kenseth is Not feeling well, "flu like stuff," but Darnell standing by is just a precaution -- Kenseth will make it to the end.

Lee Spencer says on Lap 73: Just as Denny Hamlin passes him for eighth, Earnhardt tells his crew: "It doesn't turn in the middle and no forward bite"

Lap 65: Juan Pablo Montoya is up to fifth - he's pretty quick today too. It'll be interesting if JPM can get near Johnson.

Lap 62: Ryan Newman now gets past Jeff Gordon for second.

Lap 59: Jimmie Johnson takes the lead from teammate Jeff Gordon at the line. It took him 59 laps to go from 15th to first, very impressive.

Lap 57: Cars are making contact throughout the short track, things are definitely getting dicier as the day goes on.

Lap 51: Jimmie Johnson is up to second.

GREEN FLAG - Lap 50: Jeff Gordon leads the field to the restart

Lap 49: TV replays show that Denny Hamlin and Dale Earnhardt Jr. made contact on pit road and both cars have some damage as a result.

Lee Spencer says on Lap 47: Erik Darnell is standing by for Matt Kenseth in case he needs a relief driver today.

Lap 46: Here comes everybody onto pit road. Jeff Gordon is one of the drivers to take two tires and he will remain leader as a result. Martin Truex Jr. also took two and comes out second, Jimmie Johnson took four tires and is third.

CAUTION 2 - Lap 43: Michael Waltrip spins out after a left rear tire failure. This will count as the competition yellow, so drivers will be able to refuel.

Lap 34: Jimmie Johnson is now up to fourth.

Lap 30: Jimmie Johnson breaks into the top five for the first time today.

Lap 28: After leading the first 22 laps, Ryan Newman seems to be losing speed, he's already dropped to fourth behind Martin Truex Jr. and Mark Martin.

Lap 26: Another driving slicing through the field like Jimmie Johnson is title rival Juan Pablo Montoya. He's already up to 10th.

Lap 22: Jeff Gordon passes Ryan Newman in Turn 3 to take the lead for the first time today.

Lap 20: Now Johnson passes Joey Logano for seventh - Johnson is hauling the mail right now.

Lap 18: Johnson passes Dale Jr. for eighth.

Lap 16: Dale Eanhardt Jr. is up to eighth, with teammate and championship leader Jimmie Johnson right behind him in ninth.

Lap 14: A lot more cars are double-wide after this restart as they battle for position.

CAUTION 1 - Lap 7: Three-car pileup started when Matt Kenseth and Marcos Ambrose made contact in Turn 4. Robby Gordon had nowhere to go and got into the mess. Fortunately, not too much damage on any of the cars.

Lap 4: They are single-file up front. From about 18th on back, you see more two-wide action.

Lap 1: Ryan Newman pulls ahead of Jeff Gordon and leads the first lap.

GREEN FLAG! Ryan Newman leads the field to the green flag. Seven-time Martinsville winner Jeff Gordon is right alongside Newman at the start.

Engines fired - green flag coming in just a few minutes.

BREAKING NEWS: NASCAR announced during the drivers meeting that there will be a competition caution on Lap 50 since yesterday's practice sessions were rained out. As a result, teams will not be able to refuel until the competition caution.
