CAUTION 5 - YELLOW AND WHITE FLAG - KEVIN HARVICK WILL WIN! Greg Biffle suffers a flat right rear tire, sets off a big wreck behind him, and Kevin Harvick wins!
GREEN FLAG - Lap 74: Greg Biffle restarts as the leader with Kasey Kahne alongside him. Everybody else behind them has two fresh tires - this is shaping up to be a wild finish.
Lap 71: WOW! A game of chance is taking place on pit road. Everybody but Greg Biffle and Kasey Kahne comes into pit road. Everybody but Montoya takes two right side tires (JPM took four tires).
Caution 4 - Lap 69: Michael Waltrip hits the wall and has a lot of right front damage. Ryan Newman got into Michael to start the incident. Waltrip got into Andretti in the incident.
Lap 68: LEAD CHANGE - Harvick takes the lead back again. He wants to win the Shootout for a second year in a row.
Lap 67: LEAD CHANGE - Jamie McMurray completes the pass on the tri-oval and takes the lead.
Lap 66: Jamie McMurray is fighting for the lead, but Harvick is keeping the spot.
Lap 65 - LEAD CHANGE - Kevin Harvick back in the lead. Vickers got a little loose and dropped from second to ninth.
Lap 63: Brian Vickers is making a challenge for the lead - it is two-wide from the leader back.
Lap 61: LEAD CHAGE - Stewart motors to the lead.
Lap 60: Lost in the action up front, Mark Martin had a problem and fell way off the pace. He is about a quarter of a lap behind the pack now.
Lap 59: First four cars are single file up front (Leader - Harvick), but behind them they are two-wide.
Lap 58: Three-wide on the frontstretch! We have a race on our hands now.
Lap 55: Denny Hamlin moves up to the top side and is challenging Stewart for 2nd place.
Lap 52: Four-wide on the backstretch - things are starting to get hairy!
Lap 51: LEAD CHANGE - Harvick gets help from Stewart and reclaims the lead.
Lap 50: LEAD CHANGE - Greg Biffle takes the top spot.
Lap 49: Harvick retains lead, but Biffle is alongside him and looks very hungry for the lead. Got right next to Harvick coming to the line.
Lap 47: LEAD CHANGE - Kevin Harvick gets a run up top and takes the lead.
Lap 44: LEAD CHANGE - Tony Stewart takes the lead.
GREEN FLAG - Lap 43: Carl Edwards restarts as the leader once again. He is looking tough to beat.
Lap 41: Jeff Burton goes down a lap but is in the pits. A few other teams pits - Matt Kenseth, Ryan Newman and Kyle Busch.
Lap 40: On the last accident, Kyle Busch got into Jeff Burton in Turn 4 and that was what led to his cut tire.
Caution 3 - Lap 39: Jeff Burton spins off Turn 2. Looks like he has a flat left rear tire.
Lap 38: Carl Edwards out front ahead of the pack.
GREEN FLAG - Lap 37: Top five - Edwards, Stewart, Harvick, Johnson, Biffle
Lap 36 - Waltrip pits this time by. Carl Edwards takes over the lead, followed by Stewart. John Andretti and Ryan Newman come in again during this lap.
Lap 35 - Still under caution, the pits are opened and all but 1 car comes in for service (Michael Waltrip stayed out). Carl Edwards wins the race off pit road followed by Tony Stewart.
This is Busch the elder's second wrecked car of the weekend - not a good start for the No.2 Blue Deuce so far at Daytona.
Caution 2 - Lap 32: Kurt Busch goes for a spin through the frontstretch and cannot slow down before sliding back up onto the track and hitting the wall. Looks like he was moving down and didn't see Mark Martin behind him.
Lap 31: Stewart got a push to the front from Harvick and was in the lead briefly, but Edwards got around him and reclaimed the lead. Vickers is alongside battling for the point - great racing so far!
Lap 30: LEAD CHANGE - McMurray completes the pass and Tony Stewart moves up to second.
Lap 29: Jamie McMurray is alongside Edwards again but just cannot lead a lap.
Lap 27: Jamie McMurray pulls up alongside Edwards and was briefly in the lead, but he lost it right at the stripe - no lead change.
Lap 26: Kasey Kahne gave Carl Edwards a big shove at the start of the lap and Edwards pulls out to the point again.
Just a reminder (and probably a jinx) - No driver has led every lap at the Budweiser Shootout.
GREEN FLAG - 50 LAPS REMAINING - Carl Edwards leads the way at the start.
Tony Stewart and Co. had a problem with the shark fin piece on the left side of the car. They fixed it just in time and are back out there.
The break is over, and cars have started lining up for the start of the 50-lap shootout finale.
The top 10 order at the end of the segment: Edwards (led all 25 laps), Stewart, Kahne, McMurray, Harvick, Vickers, Johnson, Biffle, Burton and Gordon. Notables outside of the Top 25 - Denny Hamlin (14th), Matt Kenseth (16th), Ryan Newman (19th), Dale Earnhardt Jr. (20th), Kyle Busch (21st).
There is now a 10-minute break until the final 50-lap shootout for the win.
End of Segment 1
Caution 1 - Lap 25: Michael Waltrip takes a spin on the backstretch. Waltrip just got loose coming off Turn 4. Joey Logan got into Waltrip, but it was after he was in a spin.
Lap 24: A great battle for second between Kasey Kahne, Tony Stewart and Jamie McMurray! Stewart really putting on a show.
Lap 23: Two laps left until the 10-minute break.
Lap 22: Kasey Kahne moves up to second. Two Fords out front at Daytona.
Lap 19: Carl Edwards has fended off Stewart and is now in the lead by himself. Dale Earnhardt Jr. is dropping back and battling a loose condition.
Lap 18: It's still side-by-side for the lead! Edwards vs. Stewart.
Lap 17: Stewart got up alongside Edwards for the lead coming out of Turn 2 - it's a drag race around the track but Edwards is able to just keep the lead at the line.
Lap 15: Stewart and Harvick are ready to pounce, but Edwards continues to lead. Further back, Greg Biffle has dropped to ninth - right ahead of Dale Earnhardt Jr.
Lap 13: Tony Stewart has moved alongside second-place Kevin Harvick and is trying to make a run to the lead.
Lap 12: For a driver who has yet to win a restrictor plate race, he's doing very well - he's led every lap so far and looks very strong.
Lap 10: 15 laps remain until the 10 minute break. Kahne and Biffle have joined the lead pack up front.
Lap 9: There's a four-car breakaway up front - Carl Edwards, Harvick, Stewart and Johnson.
Lap 7: Greg Biffle got past Burton and is now up to second. Three drivers have fallen off the lead pack - Derrike Cope, Juan Pablo Montoya and Bobby Labonte.
Lap 6: Jeff Burton ;eading the outside line to challenge for the lead.
Lap 3: Some cars are a little loose, but no problems so far.
Lap 2 : Inside line is about three cars ahead of the outside line.
Lap 1: Cars stay two-by-two through the first lap, but Carl Edwards and Kenny Schrader push up and hold the top two positions.
GREEN FLAG! Carl Edwards leads the field to the flag at the start of the race.
Cars to the back: Nos. 2, 55, 11 (backup cars), No. 75 (missing practice), 42 (adjustments outside impound period).
8:22 p.m. ET - The 24 car field is rolling off.
8:17 p.m. ET - The command has been given and engines are fired here at Daytona.
8:10 p.m. ET - The invocation and anthem has just completed, it's time to go racing on FOX.
