Knaus told Johnson keeping his composure was the key to the win.

Johnson: Got pretty pissed off there at the end, thought he was stealing one from us.

Knaus: Be smooth brother, just bring it home.

Lap 299: 48 nudges 2 out of the way clears him on the backstretch.

Lap 294: 2 bumps 48 to grab lead.

Lap 294: Green flag!

Lap 293: 43 speeds up to avoid 33 behind him...those two have been dogging each other all day

Lap 292: Kyle complains that the air pressures aren't up either.

CAUTION! 18 spins in turn 4 while racing for third with 31. 31 got loose.

Earnhardt: I wanted two (tires). McGrew: You got four, go get 'em.

Lap 284: Cars coking in under yellow. 88 takes 4 tires and exits last of the cars on the lead lap.

Under caution, Montoya: "The motor won't turn over." Has to walk over barrier wall with driver's side up against SAFER barrrier.

LAp 275: Jack Roush left pit road -- probably couldn't stand to watch Carl Edwards go down two laps

Lap 273: Johnson caught 31's bumper out of turn 4, still challenging.

Lap 270: Burton leads with Johnson closing in.

Lap 263: Brian Pattie tells Juan Pablo that the splitter is rolled up on the 42. He's dropping like a rock.

Lap 261: 42 taps the back of the 33's bumper.

Lap 249: 43 slides by for 4th.

Lap 245: Green flag!

Kahne tells PRN that he's had a lot of mechanical errors this year. Would love a 24/42 rematch here

Lap 241: Leaders pit. Clint Bowyer was knocking Allmendinger's bumper all the way down pit road.

Lap 240: 14, 56, 1 could have issues after pitting early. Green flag stops were just starting.

CAUTION on Lap 239! 9 blows up after problems with cylinder issues.

Lap 238: Unfortunately Martin Truex and Jeff Gordon have not been in the same zip code today.

Lap 237: Pit stops for 14, 1, 56.

Lap 227: Allmendinger (P8) is the only Ford remaining on the lead lap.

Lap 221: Burton still leads, Busch second.

Lap 209: Kahne was third when issues started...is barely maintaining the recommended speed.

Lap 175: 33 pits, 48, 29 as well. Spotter TJ Majors tells Junior "Don't speed."

Lap 174: 11 pits, 88 will pit next time by...4 tires. Lance McGrew tells the team to clean the grill

Lap 171: Green flag stops underway. 1, 98, 7, 47, 00, 16.

Lap 168: 78 gets a pass-thru penalty for a commitment line violation.

Lap 164: 78 in the pits, right front tire is flat.

Lap 161: Stewart pits, out of pit cycle with other drivers.

Lap 152: Kyle Busch gets around Kasey Kahne for race lead.

Lap 151: Mike Calinoff [Matt Kenseth spotter]: We're looking for debris -- stay with it.

Lap 148: Gordon in third.

Lap 147: Kenseth just pulled down 9 rolls around the outside.

Lap 146: Burton takes over third place from Montoya. Pressure from fourth-place Gordon on 42.

Lap 145: 34 just extended his visit to pit road.

Lap 144: 31 nearly lost it off of Turn 4...Jeff Gordon putting on pressure.

Lap 138: Matt Kenseth is doing everything he can to keep leader Kasey Kahne behind him. Hearing a lot more from Kenseth's spotter Mike Calinoff on the radio than new crew chief Jimmy Fennig.

Lap 131: Matt Kenseth, the next car to get lapped, wants to know what line the 9 is running and why he's so much slower. Jack, is you're listening, it's time for major changes under your roof.

Lap 130: Kahne in the lead, Montoya and Burton in a battle for 3rd.

Jimmie Johnson had an issue with a lugnut on his last pit stop (18.1 seconds for the second stop) but has moved up to 9th.

Lap 116: Jeff Gordon asks if it's a lapped car in front of him. Letarte: Yes, it is. It's Reed Sorenson.

Lap 112: Kasey Kahne resumes the lead.

Lap 111: Crew chief Lance McGrew tells Earnhardt he was easily a top five car on that last run. Green flag pit stops complete.

Lap 107: More pit stops: 2, 24 -- air pressure and chassis adjustments to the 24. 39 awkwardly pulled into the pits from the lead, struggled to get out.

Lap 106: Leader pits along with 18, 5, 16, 20, 48, 88, 43.

Lap 104: Martin Truex pits, David Reutiman coming in for 4 tires. 98 goes to pits. Matt Kenseth, Kevin Harvick, Carl Ediwards pits.

Lee Spencer says on Lap 99: Making his New Hampshire Cup debut, Andy Lally is outrunning rookie candidate Kevin Conway.

Lee Spencer says on Lap 96: AJ Allmendinger is doing a helluva job at audtioning today. He's up to P8 (started 28th).

Lap 88: Stewart pits under green.

Lap 87: Yesterday's Nationwide winner Kyle Busch says he has to get the car turning better. He is currently P7

Lee Spencer says on Lap 79: Dale Earnhardt Jr.'s best finish in Loudon was 2004 -- when he got back-to-back third-place finishes. A shout out to the kid who's moved from 31st to 14th.

Lap 71: 33 cars remain on lead lap as we near the 1/3rd way mark in this race.

Lee Spencer says on Lap 67: AJ Allmendinger has five consecutive top 15 finishes entering this weekend and is currently runnin 12th

Lap 60: Tony Stewart passes teammate Ryan Newman and breaks into the top 10.

Lap 60: Montoya says his right rear tire is loose. Spotter Tab Boyd replies "(Kahne is) a little higher off the center which gives him a better shot off"

Lap 56: Kasey Kahne showing his strength up front right now - he's opened up a 1.49 second lead on Juan Pablo Montoya.

Lap 53: Jimmie Johnson passes Kurt Busch for third. The defending champ is really finding his rhythm right now.

Lap 44: Montoya up to seocnd already. Those drivers who started ahead of him on the restart took two tires, he's on four - so once he gets up to the lead, watch him take off.

Lap 40: JPM up to fourth one lap after the restart. He's got a really good car, let's see if he can make it back up front again.

RESTART - Lap 39: Kasey Kahne leads, Mark Martin second. Former leader Juan Pablo Montoya down to sixth after the pit stops.

Lap 37: Problems? Brad Keselowski says his exits off the corners seem to be ok... but his car was sputtering during the caution. He is currrently P28. His crew tells him to take care of the electrical load on the car.

Lap 36: Leaders pit under caution. Kasey Kahne gained two positions in the pits and will be your new leader. Jimmie Johnson says "he hopes everything is cool" as he monitors the tachometer leaving pit road. Other drivers were passing him.

Radio chatter on Lap 35: Crew chief Chad Knaus to Jimmie Johnson: "They threw that (freaking) caution for a water bottle."

CAUTION 1 - Lap 35: Debris

Lap 32: Montoya has also now lapped the Nos. 46 and 26.

Lap 31: Four cars in the garage and Juan Pablo Montoya has lapped the Nos. 34 and 71.

Lap 25: Logano, the defending winner of the race, says he has too much speed off of Turn 3. Crew chief Greg Zipadelli says: "Do the best you can"

Lap 21: Max Papis to the garage...first start and parker today.

Lap 17: Jeff Gordon gets closer to top 10 - up to 12th.

Lap 9: Jimmie Johnson moves up to sixth.

Lap 6: Juan Pablo Montoya setting a good pace up front - he's got a 1.165 second lead on second-place Kurt Busch.

Lap 2: Kurt Busch passes Kasey Kahen for 2nd.

Lap 1: Juan Pablo Montoya jumps out to a lead early - 0.524 seconds.

GREEN FLAG - Juan Pablo Montoya leads the field at the start of today's 301-lap race.

1:07 p.m. ET: The command has been given - Engines are fired!

According to NASCAR, only one car will drop back to the rear of the field at the start of today's race: Bobby Labonte (Transmission change).

After all the madness in last week's race, revenge and payback is on everyone's mind at New Hampshire Motor Speedway. Lee Spencer talked to drivers about what to expect today.
