RESTART - Lap 148: Battle for positions throughout the front group as the field goes green once more.

Lap 147: It'll be a Hendrick leadership group at the front on the restart. Dale Earnhardt Jr., Jimmie Johnson and Kasey Kahne are the top three.

CAUTION 6: Debris on backstretch. Drivers are complaining that Juan Pablo Montoya is dropping things on the track.

Lap 141: Battle for the lead on the restart as the Hendrick Motorsports drivers lead the field to the green. There are a lot of drivers in contention right now that could certainly use a win in the wild-card Chase.

Radio chatter on Lap 78: There appears to be a little bit of a tiff between Jeff Gordon and Dale Earnhardt Jr., who said: "I tried to pass the 24, but he dug harder." Spotter T.J. Majors: He thought you could have done him a little better on the restart."  Rick Hendrick: "You didn't do anything, just drive that thing to the front." Junior: "I'm trying."

CAUTION 3 - Lap 77: Regan Smith spins.

Lap 71: Tony Stewart to the garage. He was running 33rd. This would make the first DNF for Stewart since Sonoma last June.

Lap 71: Kasey Kahne and Juan Pablo Montoya return to the track.

Lap 70: All of the drivers in the top 10 took only two tires on the stop.

Lap 70: Leaders are pitting. Dale Earnhardt Jr. has a two-tire stop.

Radio chatter on Lap 67: Juan Pablo Montoya: "I kind of lifted but I didn't want to lift all the way up cause I'd get freight-trained."

CAUTION 2 - Lap 66: Mark Martin crashes hard. Martin gets out of his car and is OK after contact from Kasey Kahne.

Lap 65: A crash in front of the leaders! Mark Martin and the others are trying to avoid it, but fail to do so. Juan Pablo Montoya and Bobby Labonte, the final two drivers on the lead lap, crash to spark the incident.

Lap 63: Mark Martin is trying to lap Juan Pablo Montoya, but is having trouble getting past the driver as Montoya is fighting for his spot. Meanwhile, Kasey Kahne has closed the gap to just two-tenths of a second.

Lap 62: Mark Martin has a half of a second lead over Kasey Kahne.

Lap 57: Polesitter Mark Martin continues to set the pace at Michigan. Martin is running a limited schedule with Michael Waltrip Racing this season.

Radio chatter on Lap 57: Tony Stewart says it feels like a valve spring or something that is causing his problems. "I'm watching these gauges religiously right now and everything looks normal, right where it's supposed to be."

1:24 ET: Mark Martin is out in front to take the early lead.

1:21  ET: The green flag is dropped, and the race is underway.

1:12 p.m. ET: Ryan Newman is under the weather. He went to the infield care center after the drivers meeting. Dave Blaney and Scott Riggs standing by.

1:10 p.m. ET: Engines are fired.

Driver introductions are complete and drivers are getting ready for the race on the 2-mile track.

For some, it's already been a rough weekend at Michigan. Dale Earnhardt Jr. will go to the rear of the field today at the start after wrecking in practice. He'll be joined there by Jimmie Johnson, who changed engines in his car Saturday.
