Lap 75: New leader Jimmie Johnson is no stranger to Vegas wins. Johnson has four previous Cup wins at the track. He has six top-10 finishes in 11 starts with an average finish of 9.818 at Vegas.
Lap 75: Jimmie Johnson continues to battle on the outside of Kasey Kahne. He finally clears him to take the lead.
Lap 74: Jimmie Johnson is to the outside of Kasey Kahne. Kahne holds the lead at the line.
Lap 74: It's a Hendrick showdown. Jimmie Johnson is challenging Kasey Kahne for the lead.
Radio chatter on Lap 70: Crew chief Darian Grubb tells Denny Hamlin "keep it up" and that the Nos. 11 (of Hamlin) and 17 (of Ricky Stenhouse Jr.) were the two fastest cars on the track. Grubb apologizes for starting the car out so loose. Hamlin is ninth.
