Jimmie Johnson's pit crew was struggling at Texas Motor Speedway, so team owner Rick Hendrick switched crews with Jeff Gordon, who was out of contention in the NASCAR Chase for the Sprint Cup. Johnson started using Gordon's crew midway through the race and remained with the group through the end of the season.
