Jeff Gordon will be sporting a new look this season – and not just because of the introduction of NASCAR’s Generation 6 Sprint Cup car.

On Feb. 4, it was announced that The Carlyle Group, with a portfolio of businesses that includes Hertz Rental Car, Allison Transmission and Dunkin' Donuts, had acquired DuPont's paint business. The group will remain as a sponsor with Gordon’s No. 24 Hendrick Motorsports Chevolet, but has been rebranded as Axalta Coating Systems. That will appear on Gordon’s car in the second quarter of the season.

Since debuting in NASCAR full time in 1993, Gordon has sported a variety of looks on his No. 24 Hendrick Motorsports Chevrolet as well as appearing in vehicles in other series.
