The streaks of headlights and taillights are seen through a time exposure during the Rolex 24. At night, the cars are little more than a flash of colors and lights as they whiz past.

Lucas Luhr races the Starworks Motorsports Ford Riley around the track with a picture-perfect backdrop, but this driver won't have time to watch. The speeds on the track reach 125 mph, meaning Luhr needs to keep his eyes on the road.

The No. 90 Corvette DP, driven by Antonio Garcia, Richard Westbrook, Oliver Gavin and Jag Magnussen races during the Rolex 24. The team has several finishes at the Rolex 24, but no wins.

The No. 2 DP BMW Riley driven by Scott Dixon, Darrio Franchitti, Juan Pablo Montoya and Jamie McMurray seems to be honoring the American flag as the red, white and blue car cruises past. All the car is missing is the stars and stripes!

Max Angelelli, of Italy, walks out of his garage as crew members work to fix his Corvette DP. The crew better work fast if they want to see Angelelli pull off another win. Angelelli won the 2005 Rolex 24 at Daytona with teammates Wayne Taylor and Emmanuel Collard. The win was a second for Taylor, who also won in 1996 with Scott Sharp and Jim Pace. Rounding out the team is Ryan Briscoe, who is looking for his first Rolex 24 win.

These guys have a long way to go before the race is over. Ryan Dalziel, of Scotland, leads the pack followed by Max Angelelli, of Italy, Scott Dixon, of New Zealand and Oswaldo Negri Jr., of Brazil, as they go through the east horseshoe during the start of the Rolex 24 at Daytona.

Fans crowd pit road during driver introductions prior to the start of the Rolex 24. You wouldn't know from looking that historically this race has fairly low fan-attendance levels. Ticket sales are likely higher this year due to it being the 50th anniversary of the 24-hour race.

Co-drivers Scott Dixon, Jamie McMurray and Dario Franchitti walk down pit road in front of fans. The trio is joined by Juan Pablo Montoya. Dixon and Franchitti have each won the Rolex 24, while Montoya has won it twice — once with Franchitti. McMurray is hoping for his first Rolex Dayonta watch, and this might just be the team he needs to achieve it.

What do you get when you combine two brothers born to a well-know and prolific racer, a neurosurgeon and "The Thrill from West Hill"? A team hungry for their first Rolex 24 win! Burt (not pictured) and Brian Frisselle, Paul Tracy and Jim Lowe have sixteen combined Rolex 24 starts. Can they pull off a win this time around?
