There's a reason they call Bristol Motor Speedway "The Bullring." The short track, which is often compared to the Roman Coliseum, has ignited plenty of drivers short fuses in the past – and will likely do so again this weekend.

So who should you be watching in order to see all the excitement? Here’s a look at some of NASCAR’s most hot-tempered drivers, and what could fire them up this weekend.

Nobody is safe when Cousin Carl is fired up – Nationwide Series competitors, Sprint Cup rivals – heck, even teammates have seen the Wrath of Carl in the past. He’s pretty hot right now (in a good way), so you wouldn’t expect him to erupt. But he’s shown in the past that anything can set him off.

Perhaps he's best known for his takeout of Dale Earnhardt Jr., but ask competitors in different NASCAR series (particularly the Camping World Truck Series) and you’ll hear tales of a driver who when he’s in contention for the win and somebody is in the way – watch out! Even worse? He gets even more mad when he loses.

For a man nicknamed "Happy," he sure seems to get mad a lot. But aside from his sometimes aggressive actions on the racetrack, Harvick is perhaps best outside his car when he finds ways to play mind games with rivals and get them spun out even before running a lap. It’s still early in the year, but if Harvick gets under people’s skin, it could lead to fireworks.

It doesn’t matter whether you think Keselowski is edgy or has an attitude problem – he doesn’t care. He’s got an old-school mentality where he speaks his mind without fear of retribution. He drives the same way. If bumping and shoving becomes the norm this weekend, Special K won’t back down

Come on, this guy is so competitive he was angered by finishing second in his last outing. He's the points leader, which might make one think he'll exercise a little more caution, but don't count on it. If he's knocked out in another strong car, fireworks will follow.

Being on probation for the rest of the year may calm down this hothead, but considering he’s on it for allegedly getting into a fight with another driver in the garage ... Allegations aside, there’s actual proof of Gordon’s temper at work on the racetrack – whether it is NASCAR, off-road racing, or anything in between.

He’s mellowed in recent years, but the elder Buschknows how to mix it up. Past on-track (and off-track) altercations with NASCAR heavyweights Tony Stewart and Jimmy Spencer shows he won’t easily back down if challenged. And since he’s currently tied in points for the championship lead, anybody who messes with him at Bristol could be in for a painful payback.

Montoya is hungering for a win and intent on staying in Chase form all season. He's had his share of run-ins - Kevin Harvick, anyone - and just doesn't seem interested in backing down from a confrontation. Could he overheat at Bristol?

Known as the Mayor of the Garage, Burton’s cool demeanor could be tested by his tough start to the season. Mired 32nd in points – already more than one race worth of points behind the championship leaders – Burton knows he’s got to push the issue if he wants to remain a viable title contender.

In recent years, the four-time champ has shown an unwillingness to take anything from his competitors - even when those are his teammates. This year he's back in title form and freely showing more emotion - so perhaps the field should think twice before taking on this guy, shown here prior to an altercation with Matt Kenseth in 2006 at Bristol.
