Joe Gibbs Racing’s Kyle Busch has demanded attention since making his debut in a major NASCAR touring series in 2001.

Only 16 at the time, he raced a handful of events before an adjusted age minimum put his career on hold until the turned 18. Since then, he’s amassed a string of victories and a Nationwide championship.

Although he’s only 26, Busch has already begun etching his name in the record books. Here’s a look at his top-10 career accomplishments in NASCAR to date:
 

Busch has been a sensation since he first stepped onto a NASCAR track. He’s won races from his rookie season forward in the Sprint Cup, Nationwide and Truck series ranks and is on track to threaten some of the top overall win records in the sport. And he’s just getting started. Busch has 24 Cup, 51 Nationwide and 30 Truck wins to his credit already for a total of 105 career victories.

Busch has made a habit of running as many races as possible over the years, and he showed he's equally skillful in any of them at Bristol Motor Speedway in August, 2010, becoming the first driver in history to win a Camping World Truck, a Nationwide, and a Sprint Cup Series race at the same track in the same weekend. And it's not like he lucked into any of the wins, leading the most laps in all three races for a whopping 514 of 956 laps at the front during those events.

Busch hasn’t always enjoyed the most consistent of seasons, but he has generally been in the mix for the Chase for the Sprint Cup. He’s made that field in five of his seven full Cup seasons – narrowly missing out in 2009 and finishing 13th in the standings – with a top finish of fifth overall for a season. He rebounded well in 2010 after missing the field the previous season, earning three race wins en route to an eighth-place finish in the standings.

After years of winning races and challenging the top contenders in all three major NASCAR series, Busch (pictured with his wife, Samantha) earned a championship. He took the 2009 Nationwide Series title with his Joe Gibbs Racing team. Busch did so in traditional dominating fashion. He won nine races and finished in the top 10 in an amazing 30 races, with 25 of those top fives. He posted an average start of 7.4 and an average finish of 6.4 despite a pair of DNFs. It was a season for the record books.

Busch has taken on the “Bad Boy” role with aggressive driving style that has become his hallmark.

"Rowdy" doesn’t back down from a challenge – or from a competitor. He’s been embroiled in his share of verbal spats and on-track rubs with contenders in his relatively brief career, showing an unapologetic approach to getting to the front – and racing for the win when the time comes.

In 2008, Busch wowed the fans – even those who enjoyed booing him at driver introductions – with his stunning wave of success. He was a force in all three of NASCAR’s major touring series in 2008, winning eight Cup, 10 Nationwide and three Truck series races. It was a testament to both his talent and dedication. As stunning as that achievement was, he went on to top it in 2010, when he won three Cup, 13 Nationwide and eight Truck races for 24 trips to Victory Lane.

As if his on-track racing in three series wasn’t enough to keep him busy, Busch decided to foray into the world of team ownership in 2010. Kyle Busch Motorsports often put Busch himself behind the wheel in its debut season, but only on a part-time basis, sharing the ride with Brian Ickler. Busch won the series' owners title in his first season of competition. He has continued to run the team and at Richmond in 2012 won the Nationwide race as the owner with his brother, Kurt Busch, driving.

Busch was a 16-year-old racing sensation when he made his initial runs in NASCAR. Driving in what is now the Camping World Truck Series for team owner Jack Roush, he competed in six races, earning a pair of top-10 finishes, before NASCAR changed its minimum age to 18 and delayed his career.

Busch earned his first pole at Auto Club Speedway in 2005, when he was 19 years, 9 months, 25 days. That was a record until Joey Logano set a new mark in 2010. Busch was just a rookie driver when he went to California and made himself known to the competition. He's been fast ever since.

Busch was a driver to watch from the moment he stepped behind the wheel, showing early signs of his future promise and potential. He won five races and earned 22 top-10 finishes, 16 of them top-fives, to finish second and set several records during his Nationwide rookie campaign in 2004 and win the rookie of the year. Then he moved to Cup full time in 2005, driving for Hendrick Motorsports, Busch earned his first pair of career wins with 13 top-10 finishes, nine of them top-fives, and more than $4 million in purses to take the rookie honor.
